The Smithers Mountain Bike Association is excited to announce that it has been awarded one of the Community Economic Recovery Infrastructure Program (CERIP) grants. The CERIP grant is received in partnership with Hudson Bay Mountain Resort. This document provides the SMBA membership with an overview of how the grant funds are divided between the two organizations and what type of projects the grant is earmarked for.
For the SMBA, this grant will help in maintaining and improving our current infrastructure and network of trails. It is important to note that it is very hard to secure funding for maintenance and improvements to existing trails. The SMBA is beyond stoked that we have secured funding to revitalize and improve our existing network. Today is a good day my friends! Riding season is coming soon, and we are planning to start trail upgrades this spring and summer!!!
