‘Round The Mountain phase 1, multi-use trail, is open!

We invite you to ride, run or walk this gentle grade up into the alpine. We remind you that this is a sensitive eco-system that we all need to take care of. Therefore, no dogs are allowed on the trail. We ask you to stay on the trail and avoid shortcuts, as this will leave scars for years.

Bring your family and friends, bring your lunch to the viewpoint at km 4 and take in the views all around. On a bike it’ll take you 40 min to viewpoint and on foot it’ll take 1-1.5 hrs. Please park at P2 below Prairie T-bar and follow signs to trailhead.

Thanks to Hudson Bay Mountain Resort, Noble Five Creek and the Mountain Resorts Branch for their support in this project. Opportunities like this would not be possible without the financial support from the Provincial Government, through the Destination Development Infrastructure Fund.

The trail is currently being built within the Controlled Recreation Area of Hudson Bay Mountain Resort, while plans for continuing the trail to Crater Lake are under review.

This new trail is being built with sustainability and low impact as top priorities, and the gentle grade makes it suitable for all users. Scannable signage at viewpoints along the route will allow users to access interesting information about the landmarks and history of the Bulkley Valley will be installed shortly.

If you have any questions about the project, please direct them to [email protected].
