Mark your calendars – Saturday, April 26th is the Crank It Up: SMBA Season Kickoff Bash, and we want YOU there to help us launch the season with stoke, community, and good vibes!
We’re celebrating all day with a decorated parade ride, fun for the kids, BBQ, and brews, followed by a ticketed adults-only themed afterparty with DJ Civilian from Vancouver.
Event Highlights
3:00 PM — Decorated Parade Ride
We’ll meet at the roundabout by the courthouse and roll out as a group at 3pm and cruise down Main Street to Smithers Brewing.
Theme “Ride Into Imagination”
Come dressed as a forest creature, superhero, pirate, fairy, dinosaur, trail pro, sparkly bike unicorn – or whatever your imagination dreams up! Decorate your bike too – there will be prizes for creativity and flair!
3:00 – 6:30 — PM Kid-Friendly Fun on bike
Kids can participate in games and challenges like:
- Slow Bike Race
- Bunny Hop Contest
- And more surprises throughout the afternoon!

BBQ & Brews/Kombucha
Grab some food and drinks – a portion of BBQ and drink sales will go to support SMBA.
7:00 – 8:00 PM — Brewery Closed for Afterparty Setup
Smithers Brewing will close between 7:00 and 8:00 PM to prepare for the adults-only afterparty.
8:00 PM – Adults-Only Afterparty
(Ticketed Event) with DJ Civilian from Vancouver.
Smithers loves a reason to dress up! This year’s theme is “Party Laps & Pit Vipers”- bring the big après energy and show up in your best (or worst) post-ride look. Whether you look race-ready, trail-worn, or like you’ve been sending it since ‘99, we want to see it. Prizes to be won!
There will also be the hilarious Trail Prep Panic: Oven Mitt Challenge. Prizes to be won!
